IndiaNewsonWeb: 18 Jul, 2017, Venkaiah Naidu, who was made Vice-President Candidate of the NDA, will fill his nomination today. They have departed from their house. They will file nominations at 11 o'clock. Before that, Venkaiah Naidu met senior BJP leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. Let us know that today is the last day to fill the nomination for Vice-President's post. On Monday evening, in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting, Venkaiah Naidu's name was stamped. PM Modi and Amit Shah will also be present with Naidu.

Read why Vankaya Naidu is perfect for this post for BJP.

1. The Face of South

Venkaiah Naidu is from Andhra Pradesh. NDA has already declared Ramnath Kovind from North India for the post of President. Hopefully he will also become president. This is an opportunity for the BJP, who is trying to strengthen its roots across the country. If BJP's South Bets are run, then a path will be ready for 2019 too.

2. Experience of Rajya Sabha

Venkaiah Naidu has been a Rajya Sabha MP four times. He is a MP from Rajasthan. BJP has also reduced the numbers in the Rajya Sabha, if a veteran leader of the upper house are elected to this post will make it easier to run the House. After Naidu was elected in 1998 for the first time in the Rajya Sabha from 2004, 2010, and in 2016 he became a Rajya Sabha MP. Apart from this, Venkaiah Naidu has been a part of several committees.

3. Faithful Face of Party

There was news after the meeting between the RSS and the BJP that the BJP wanted a face that came forward which understands the ideology of the RSS and the BJP. Naidu had also gone to jail in the Emergency during 1975. Between 1977 and 1980, he was also President of Youth Wing in the time of Janata Party. He was also elected MLA in 1978.

Apart from this, Naidu has also had many important posts of the party, between 1980 and 1983, Vice President of National BJP Youth Wing, Andhra Pradesh BJP leader from 1980 to 85 Assembly, Opposition leader of the BJP from 1988 to 1993, also the President of Andhra Pradesh BJP Made From 1993 to 2000, Naidu became the BJP's national general secretary, in 2002, he became the BJP's national president for the first time. He has been the president till December 2002. After that he again became president in 2004.

After April 2005, he was appointed as the Senior Vice President of BJP, since 2006, Venkaiah was made a member of the BJP Parliamentary Board and a member of the Central Election Committee.

4. Big Face of Government

Along with the party, Venkaiah Naidu is also a big face in the government. Venkaiah is the senior most minister after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. While Venkaiah was the Minister of Rural Development during the Atal Govt, he took over the reins of the Urban Development Ministry during the Modi government. Apart from this, Naidu also took over the charge of Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Information Technology.

5. Advantage in the Rajya Sabha, Loss in the Cabinet

Even if BJP faces Naidu's face then, despite being less number in the Rajya Sabha, they will prove to be effective in handling the situation. Although Modi will have a setback in his cabinet, because on several occasions in the three-year term, Naidu has seen the opposition respond to the opposition for PM Modi.
