UP Government Decide to Implement e-Tender in Government Contracts

IndiaNewsonWeb: 19 Apr, 2017, As a major step towards ending corruption from government contracts, the Uttar Pradesh government today decided to adopt the 'e-tendering' process. This important decision was taken in the State Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the meeting, Minister of Power Shrikant Sharma gave this information to the reporters.

He informed that the Cabinet has decided to open 20 new Krishi Vigyan Kendra in different parts of the state. Apart from this, it has been decided to provide minimum support price of 487 rupees per quintal for the purchase of potatoes. Sharma said that the crop insurance scheme has got cabinet approval and it will be implemented in the next two years. He said that the State Council of Ministers decided to change the name of the Public Development Department of the name of Divyang Jan Empowerment Department.

It was also decided to name the Civil Terminal being constructed at Gorakhpur Air Force Station and named after the name of Mahayogi Gorakhnathji and the name of Agra Airport will be Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Airport.
