Pensioners Organization Demands Minimum Rs7500 Per Month Pension

IndiaNewsonWeb: 05 Dec, 2017, An organization of pensioners has prepared for the demonstration to protest against their demands. The organization will display this for pressure on other demands, including minimum pension 7,500 rupees per month. The EPS-95 National Movement Committee has demanded minimum pension of Rs 7,500 for retired employees across the country under Employee Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS-95). The committee has given this information by issuing the statement. At present, under EPS-95, retired employees get a minimum pension of one thousand rupees.

Virendra Singh, Chief Coordinator of the EPS-95 National Movement Committee, said, "We, the members of the EPS-95 will take a three-day hunger strike in front of the Central Provident Fund Commissioner's office regarding their demands. If our demands are not accepted, then on December 7 We will march from the Ramlila Maidan to the Parliament, protesting against the Parliament. "Nearly 60 lakh pensioners come under the Employee Pension Scheme 95, of which about 40 lakh people The pension receives less than Rs 1,500 per month and the other gets a maximum pension of Rs 2,000-2,500.

EPS-95 is one of the social security schemes run by the Employees Provident Fund Organization. According to the pensioners' organization, this matter was raised in Parliament and for more than two years it is in discussion. After a long discussion in Parliament, the Labor Ministry had announced the formation of another expert committee in this matter, but due to delays in decision making, there has been a threat of livelihood in front of families with 60 million old age. Ashok Raut, national convener of All India EPS-95 Pensioners Conflict Committee, said, "Until the demand of minimum pension of 7,500 rupees for pensioners is not met, they should be given dearness allowance with a sum of Rs 5,000. The organization has given three thousand rupees Recommendation of minimum pension of rupees per month and considering inflation, this demand has been made. For the pensioners and their spouse in the recommendations of the committee, Medical facility includes a provision.
