HRD Ministry Caught 80000 Fake Professor in Aadhaar Verification: Prakash Javadekar


IndiaNewsonWeb: 06 Jan, 2018, On one hand, where people are worried about getting a job, at least 80 thousand professors have been found working in universities and colleges of the country, who have got jobs in four places, not one or two places. These professors are also taking salaries from everywhere. This shocking disclosure has happened in the universities and colleges across the country, during aadhaar verification of the professor. The Ministry of Human Resource Development took it seriously, and after identifying such professors and instructing them to take strict action against them soon.

Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday released this information during the release of All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) year 2016-17. He said that at present, there are about 1.5 lakh teachers working in universities and colleges across the country, of which there are about 12.50 lakh teachers, who have so far aadhaar verifed. That is, about 85 percent of the professors have been verified. While the rest of the professor are preparing to link to the earliest as soon as possible. During this, he also made astonishing disclosure and said that there are about 80 thousand professors who have been teaching at many places together. They are also taking salaries from all these places. In response to a question, he said that the public has money, it will not be allowed to rob it in this manner. Such people will take action. However, he said that none of these teachers is from central universities.

Percentage of girl students will increase in technical education

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the percentage of girl students in technical education at present is about 9-12 per cent. It is about 9 percent in IIT. In such a way, the ministry has tried to make that percentage by 2022. For this, IIT and NIT are talking about keeping the special quota of girl students. Under this, they will be admitted to their preferred courses and engineering colleges. Javadekar said that in the year 2016-17 compared to 2010-11, there has been a huge increase in the number of girl students in higher education. Their percentage has increased from 19.4 to 25.2. He said that in the last three and a half years, there has been an increase in the trend towards higher education of the students. The number of students taking higher education has increased from 3.27 crore in these years to 3.57 crore.
