Hafiz Saeed Petition in United Nation to Remove Name from Terrorist List

Posted on: 28 Nov, 2017 Tags   Hafiz Saeed Terrorism United Nation

IndiaNewsonWeb: 28 Nov, 2017, Most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed has appealed in the United Nations to remove his name from the list of terrorists. The application has been made in the United Nations on behalf of Chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Hafiz Saeed. The application is from a law firm based in Lahore. Let me tell you that Hafiz Saeed has recently been released from detention.

The application has been filed by the firm named 'Mirza and Mirza'. While this application was made, Hafiz was under house arrest. Naveed Rasool Mirza, who filed an application for Hafiz, has been a lawyer in the Pakistan National Accountability Bureau, besides the Advocate General of the Punjab Government.

Let us tell you that recently Hafiz Saeed has been released after the order of the judicial review board. During the hearing last week, the provincial government demanded the arrest of Hafiz Saeed for three months. But the board dismissed it.

Hafiz was detained by the Punjab Government under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 on January 31, for Saeed and his four associates for 90 days. Saeed, along with his companions Abdullah Ubaid, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Rehman Abid and Kazi Kashif Hussain were detained. The provincial government had taken them under the Public Security Act.

Significantly, America has given a reward of $ 1 million on Saeed's head. After being detained for 10 months, he was released on Thursday midnight. The Pakistan government has decided not to detain him in any other case, which will affect India's attempts to convict the culprits of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

In May 2008, the US Department of the Treasury declared Saeed a global terrorist. On Saturday, the US had sought Pakistan's detention of Saeed again.

After the end of the detention, Hafiz Saeed once again kept his old chants alive. He congratulated everyone for his release. Also said that Kashmir will be free and India is behind me. He said that after my release, India has to be embarrassed.
