IndiaNewsonWeb: 09 Jan, 2018, Last year, the Gita Jubilee celebrations in Haryana had made a lot of headlines. Once again this festival has now become the subject of discussion. An RTI has revealed that the Haryana Government has spent about 3.8 lakh rupees for buying 10 copies of Bhagwad Gita. That is, a total of 38,000 rupees was spent on buying a Bhagwad Gita book. After the revelations, the Khattar government is once again surrounded by questions.

Let us tell you that in the last year's festival, Haryana Government had spent Rs. 15 crores. The festival was celebrated between 25 November and 5 December. On this disclosure, Haryana INLD leader Dushyant Chautala has also targeted the government. He said that Gita's copies are available online and offline at a very cheap price. The government should explain why they spent so much money.

It has been revealed in RTI that BJP MPs were also paid to perform in this festival. Hema Malini was given Rs 20 lakh and Manoj Tiwari Rs 10 lakh.

Chautala alleged that PM Modi says that his government holds Zero Tolerance against corruption. But their MPs are being paid too much money for a religious program. He told that Chautala and Hooda government had organized this festival in just a few lakh rupees, but the Khattar government spent hundreds of crores on it. He said that we will appeal to the CAG in this matter to investigate.

According to RTI, one crore rupees were spent in the repair of Brahma Sarovar, although in 2016 only 38 lakh rupees had already been spent for this work. Chautala alleged that the government has given only the award to the people of his choice.

However, in this matter, Minister Anil Vij in the state government said that the Gita Festival was a great program. If there is any disturbance in this matter, we will investigate and take strict action against the guilty officials.
