BJP Announced Prem Kumar Dhumal as Chief Minister Candidate in Himachal Pradesh

Prem Kumar Dhumal, Himachal's Chief Minister has once again expressed confidence in the party. BJP President Amit Shah announced this in a rally organized in Rajgarh, Himachal. Before the elections in the Himachal assembly elections, BJP has declared the Chief Ministerial candidate.

Earlier, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had also declared Virbhadra Singh a CM candidate for his party. At present, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh is the Virbhadra Singh. Announcing the name of Dhumal, Amit Shah said that BJP is contesting the elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi all over the country, but now everyone is saying that after all, BJP is contesting under whose leadership the BJP is contesting in Himachal I am contesting under BJP led by Prem Kumar Dhumal.

Announcing the name of the BJP candidate, BJP President Amit Shah said, "I am confident that under the leadership of Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Bharatiya Janata Party will form a government with a huge majority in Himachal Pradesh." Senior BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal is contesting from Sujanpur instead of his traditional seat Hamirpur.

As soon as the BJP president announced the name of Prem Kumar Dhum as the Chief Ministerial candidate in the rally, the platform got buzzing with applause. He challenged Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra and said that we will contest the elections under the leadership of Dhumal. Shah said that after 18 December, Dhumal will be the Chief Minister of Himachal.

Polling for Himachal Pradesh assembly elections will be held on November 9, while results will be on December 18. At present, there is a Congress government in Himachal Pradesh for the last five years. Although Opinion Poll is being said to win BJP in the Himachal assembly elections. There are total 68 Assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh. A total of 7521 polling stations will be created for the elections. VVPAT will be used on all polling stations.

Who are Prem Kumar Dhumal?

73-year-old Prem Kumar Dhumal contested for the first time in the 1984 Lok Sabha elections. Although he had to face defeat. After that, he was nominated from Hamirpur constituency in the 1989 Lok Sabha elections. This time he won from this seat. Dhumal has been contesting from Himachar Pradesh Assembly constituency for a long time. In 1991, he again reached the Lok Sabha by winning from Hamirpur seat. After this, the BJP appointed him as the BJP President of Himachal Pradesh.

In Himachal Pradesh, Congress and BJP turn around in the reversal. In such a situation, the BJP expects that this time it will be able to form the government. The last election was held on November 4 in Himachal Pradesh and the result was on December 20. Last time, in Himachal Pradesh, Congress had won 36 seats out of the total 68 assembly seats. The BJP was defeated here and it got 26 seats. The BJP contested the election under the leadership of Prem Kumar Dhumal. Here Virbhadra Singh has been chief minister six times.
